Hi Greg, Excellent explanation, thanks! All guessed correctly. Perhaps we should add some info like this to the pages. >Column 6: Av. Op. bayeselo >The average ELO rating of opposing engines, but not adjusted to make Shredder >2750. This would be more useful if the adjusted ELO were given here. Good point about unadjusted "Av. Op. Bayeselo" column. Actually I only now noticed that is is not adapted to Shredder 9, although I construct that table.. :-) I'm too used to zero-centered ratings. >Column 9: Lost on time or crashed >Number of times the engine lost on time or crashed. I do not know if this >includes the number of draws when crashing or running out of time, assuming >games are adjudicated as draws if there is insufficient material to mate. Correct here too. All those "crashed" or "lost on time" games are _not_ used for rating calculations. Those games are even not included in the database that can be downloaded from our pages. I now removed this column, since it is not directly related to ratings, and is simply a statistics (even not precise) about how many times an engine crashed or lost on time in our tests. May be it will be available as a separate table in future, if someone will need it. Thanks for input, Best, Kirill
