It is non-trivial expense-wise, and I'd have to pay travel myself... not something I really want to do bad enough to make this happen. 2. I've been to a _bunch_ of these things over the years, so it is hard to get worked up over another. And when you factor in (1) above, it becomes even less 'significant'. 3. I play just about every commercial program on ICC, FICS and chess.net, so the WCCC wouldn't really provide me with a lot of new data. Although it would be fun to see it play again... In short, lots of things led to my not going. And I didn't even touch on missing two weeks of classes in the Summer, etc. Bob
