Sometimes it isn't needed to have every side line in, especially when considering he is no professional book cooker. (This doesn't mean I would call 4.cxd5 a seldom side line here) In the original example I can easily show you fairly ok moves, after which even your S9 book would be out too with Black after ply 6. E.g. 4.a3 and 4.g3 are surely no bad moves, but your book doesn't cover them. (after 1.Nf3 d5 2.d4 Bf5 3.c4 e6) Just for the record and for summarizing, we don't know other lines at all from this book and criticising it after seeing only one (not that frequent line) too short line is a bit hasty and unfair. Otherwise keep up your good work with Shredder books! :) And as I am already here with you, I have a burning question. I heard of rumours that it is finally planned in the future to allow Shredder using its native Shredder book (from native Shredder UCI version) also outside its own GUI, but in users choice GUIs? Is there some truth in those rumours? Best regards, Guenther (Customer of native Shredder 9)
