Go up one level in this thread
It is a too bad that Hyatt wont be contributing his programming skill to that newsgroup anymore. However it must not be overlooked that frequently(IMHO most of the time) the arguements that Hyatt has been involved in have been due to him personally attacking others first. Over the last 5 years i have seen hundreds(no exageration) of arguements that Bob Hyatt has been involved in. Generally here goes the formula: 1.Post is made 2.Bob Hyatt responds to the post 3.The person doesn't quite agree in a response post 4. Hyatt true to his form makes unnecessary sarcastic remark in follow up post. 5.person is offended and responds accordingly. 6.Bob Hyatt writes back attacking the persons response. 7.Person writes back even more bitter attacking back. 8.Hyatt cronies who respect Hyatt's programming ability and contributions so much are blinded to the fact the Hyatt started and accelerated the arguement at point 1, and attack to protect their guru. Their only option because they would rather see the first person leave despite who was right or wrong because the first person hasn't written a crafty. 9.Hyatt continues to respond until the person is too tired to fight anymore and until he can have the last post in the thread. 10.person either dissapears from the groups or given a pariah persona. Bob Hyatt has caused more people to leave the groups than any other person IMHO. He has had wars more times than i can count. He has had a virtual internet stalker the so called "DODO"(apparently deceased) who collected and posted hundreds of Bob Hyatt's attacking remarks for who knows how long. Surely we can't forget the Sean Evans affair the problem there is that the Evans fellow is the only person in the groups who loves to have the last word in a thread as much as Hyatt. I'm sure that most here can remember someone in their younger days who was constantly getting in fights an arguements. The person thinks they have nothing to do with it, that people just are seeking them out. Sorry to burst their bubble, but when a person is getting in constant, constant, comstant, unseemly arguements it has something to do with how they themselves treat people and handle situations. It is a shame again that Bob Hyatt wont be contributing useful information to that group as i said again, but if it eliminates the constant threads of trash in the group then it's probably for the best. So long Bob Hood luck in the future. Charles Unruh >Bob Hyatt leaving rec.games.chess.computer > >Bob Hyatt, author of CRAFTY, will not post in the rgcc newsgroup anymore.
