In addition to a love for computer chess, Bob has a love to teach. The source code is an invaluable source for learning with 30+ years of experience behind it. It is valuable not only for the MP search code, but also for all the other individual parts that provide a clear documented example of the implementation of chess heuristic theory. It is a complex but easy to ready 'How to' manual that, when combined with the source of others who have followed his lead, has helped many get a running start at this field. I trust Bob will do what ever he feels is in the best interest of computer chess. And as a teacher first and formost (my impression for all the help he has so generously provided), that there will a way to continue to learn from his finest example. My $0.02 BTW, Screamer, my chess engine, is now up to at least a quiet whisper :) Thanks Bob and all other teachers, hobbiest, and enjoyers. William wbryant@ix.netcom.com
