Chandler I'm not embarrased by what I know. I'm usually embarrased by the chess
program I'm trying to beat while playing chess.
I guess you play chess without evaluating the position. That's a neat trick!
You just push wood but don't bother to evaluate what will happen when you do.
I'll bet you will not win many games that way. If I were you I would try
immitating the computers play. Try to memorize a few thousand opening lines to
keep yourself from falling into a trap that is about 10 moves deep. Then when
you make it to the middle game try evaluating the position and what it will be
like if you make certain moves. Don't try evaluating about a million moves per
second though. I'm sure you would overheat. Just try to evaluate the most
logical moves using your intuition. Try this against the top programs and watch
yourself get beat by a machine that does not play chess at all. And when you
lose a game of chess to a machine that does not play chess, tell you mommy that
it really didn't happen.
