But doesn't white eventually have to follow-up with h4 and f6 anyway
as Harald's line shows that if white first goes after the a7 pawn it is drawn?
I think Ke6 is more like the move h3 as it delays the win by one extra move.

I agree that Kb5 too easily gives up. Kd4 at least makes the
opponent have to come up with the h4,f6 plan.
