What bothers me about these threads is that you set unreasonable standards and
allow unreasonable protection for people, from charges that really aren't that
serious.

When you log onto ICC, the *first* thing it says to you is as follows:

                      A note to all ICC:
** The use of any chess-related program while playing on ICC      **
** (besides your interface) is not allowed unless you have a (C)  **
** label.  "help computers" explains.  To get a (C),              **
** "message POTZY I use a chess program in my ICC games"          **

Good enough for me.
