The X2 4800+ dual core chips are quite nice, Enrico here on the CCC has one
running 2.86GHz at 1.6v. I don't think all will run 2.86GHz, but, apparently it
is possible. I don't think you can use two of them however to make a quad cpu
system. For that I believe you'd need two of the following chips: Opteron 270,
275, or 280.

About the SMP chess engines, I haven't a clue which ones support 4 processors. I
would guess most of the well known ones would, but, thats just a guess.
