It's exactly like a Nunn match, except that the 20 Nunn positions are replaced by 50 positions chosen by Jeroen Noomen. I usually prefer to use the Noomen positions rather than the Nunn positions, for the simple reason that 20 positions is not quite enough. It is also possible to combine the two sets, there is no overlap in the chosen positions. Because my e-mail doesn't work tonight, I placed the PGN with the Noomen positions on my web site: http://www.glaurungchess.com/Noomen.pgn Those who want to see just how easily Hiarcs beats Glaurung can download the games here: http://www.glaurungchess.com/051213-hiarcs.pgn >P.S. My condolances on the Hiarcs match. I m not very disappointed, actually. Hiarcs is one of my favorite programs, and I am always happy to see it achieve a good result. :-) >Hiarcs has an interesting style Yes. Among the top programs, it is my favorite program to watch (I haven't seen Rybka yet, though). >and I'm very curious to see the new version play Fruit, Shredder and of >course Rybka. Me too, of course. Tord
