Hi Steve,

one of my goals for 2006 is to make you buy a Pocket PC ;-)
...
not to play against it of course, I know you too well but here is the features
on which I am working now (it won't improve my rating in this test because only
few people are interested with this kind of features) :

1) since a few months (may be a year ?), I was able to import into CEBoard and
save as PGN a game played on a Star Diamond

2) now, I can connect the SD to my Pocket PC at any time, and CEBoard records
not only the moves played by the SD but also its evaluation and predicted line.

You can play moves either on the SD board or withing CEBoard. It is not
interesting for the SD but could be for the Sapphire line (Super Vip, Sapphire
and Sappire II).

I think that all Novag computers use more or less the same protocol and it
should be easy to do the same with Sapphire line as well as the Super Expert.

Renaissance will be the next as soon as I get a PC interface for it.

I'd like to do the same with Fidelity computers... it may be possible if their
printer interface is a serial one, like it is with the Renaissance.

3) I can also send a position to the SD from a PGN file, it can be interesting
to run a series of tests (BT2450 for example).

Best,

Alain
