Basics:

More from the helpfile to CB9 :)

How to create a new openings book
Database window: File – New – Database. In the file selector select the database
type Books (*.CTG).

How to copy games into an openings book
Select games, press Ctrl-C to copy, click the database symbol of the tree and
press Ctrl-V to paste.
You can also Drag & Drop games or an entire database into the tree.

-----

In Junior, Fritz, Hiarcs etc. it's File - New - Opening books

Manual adding is done by right clicking in the books, and pick "allow move
adding". The moves you make on board now becomes mainmoves. Youl have r-click on
the move in the bookpane, and click mainmove to make it just a normal move or
whatever you want with it.

Now all this is descriebed in the suuport files on chessbase.com.

Henrik
