I don't know about dialects from different parts of Spain and I don't have that many occasions to talk to people from Spain. But, whenever I've heard it, the "zzzz" or "th" does jump out. Overall, I like the sound, sort of elegant, and I don't have any trouble understanding it. Hovever, Fernando is not the first native speaker I've heard say they sometimes have difficulties. Now the Cubans, who just randomly omit parts of the words, are another story. Best Dan H.
