Hi, I like the warnings, though I think that they really should not be displayed at the default warning level. I am unsure whether a plain C program will generate these warnings (if so, the warnings are very offensive in my opinion). However, for an application level C++ program, I think a lot of the warnings are correct. I like the idea of certain functions, when there is an obvious and safe replacement for their general use, being deprecated. 'sprintf' springs to mind. Joel
