I don't think Yermo will suffer shell shock, Hiarcs has a long history of beating strong human players. Most Grandmasters I think will take steps to know as much about Hiarcs 7 before playing a match with it. To be fair to Kasparov, this could not be done in the case with Deeper Blue. What would surprise me more is Hiarcs7 scoring less then 2 to 2 1/2 points in this match. If Hiarcs7 can score 2 1/2 points, it will show Hiarcs7 can play at a Grandmaster level with long time controls. I must agree with the Fide master, Hiarcs7 has firm grasp of positional chess, but what makes Hiarcs7 deadly IMO is Hiarcs7 did not lose its fast and deep tactical insight at the expense of positional judgement, this combination is deadly in the hands of a chess program. I have found Hiarcs 7 to be just a hair below Fritz 5 when it comes to pure tactics.
