Here is a puzzle that you may like: Position A(top left corner of the board);
WHITE > Ka7 Pb6 c6 // BLACK > Kc8 Rb8 Position B(top right corner); WHITE
> Kh6 Qh8 Rg8 // BLACK > Kf7 Qf6 Rf8 Ng6
Position C(bottom left corner); WHITE > Kc4 Qb4 Rd4 Pb2 // BLACK > Kb1 Rd1 Nc1
Pb3
Position D(bottom right corner); WHITE > Kh1 Rg1 Nf1 f2 Pf3 // BLACK > Kh4 Rg4
Nh3 Nf4
It is white to mate in each position; black, also, to mate in
positions B,C,D. Any piece on the board may be used!! You will notice that each
position forms the letter "C".
I created this in 1997 for my chess students --- "Charlie's Christmas Chess
Challenge" Yours, Charlie
