Hi, Pocket Fritz 2 is strong but came out a few years ago so needs updating in order to compete with Fruit and Toga. It is basically the shredder 6 engine authored by Stefan-Meyer. It drew with GM M.Adams at Mainz 2002 (i think) so has future promise. Imagine if author ported shredder 9 on to PPC with a uci/winboard engine mode,parameter facility, book making/editing tools and endgame access. Yet, this would take some hard work....Also, do you know if Hiarcs 9.5 and 9.6 on palm are stronger than Fruit and Toga on PPC? Is there a pda chess page with these tested and updated?
