Hi Daniel,

I just gave it a try on my iMac G5, with a rather disappointing result:
The G5 executable was actually about 5% *slower* than the regular
version.

Which compiler flags do you use?  I add "-mcpu=G5 -mpowerpc64"
to the compiler flags when compiling a G5 optimised Glaurung
executable.
