Would the Deep Blue of 1997 given the number of processors it had and the
supposedly GNU chess-like evaluation function be strong enough to beat todays
single processor with Shredder or Rybka 64-bit? How can one "estimate" D.Blue`s
elo performance by the sheer chip numbers ? Ofcourse we can look at Hydras +
score over top programs. I think shredder on significantly weaker hardware took
a game of Hydra or a draw in their bouts in 2003. Judging on this and Hydra`s
FPGA "knowledge chips" which are deemed to be better than Deep Blues. Can we
safely say Shredder and Rybka 64-bit would beat Deep Blue of 1997 ?
