Thanks for nice words, Vincent! It's of course not just my project, but it owes to contribution of many chess hobbyists from all over the world. I simply started a web-page to index the files. The idea was obvious anyway, so anyone could do that. Vincent himself is one of the most enthusiastic members in this project. He already keeps about 600 GB of tablebases on his hard disks (AFAIK), he drove across the country to copy some files from another member, and he is always inviting more members to join, and of course shares all his files. He is by far the most enthusiastic and energetic in this project, I sometimes receive about 20 emails a day from him. :-) Recently I found that KBPKBP became spread to at least 10 people, so I happily marked it with "blue smiley". This means that if you start downloading such tablebase you will probably get it very fast, like KRPKRP, KRPPKR, and other most popular bases. Hopefully more bases will spread that much before New Year. It's Christmas time, time to do some endgame analysis! :-) So come on, dump your anime collection and start downloading the real cool thing - concentrated knowledge about perfect endgame play in the game of kings.
