With some preparation of your own - you get the opponent out of book. I haven't looked at this game but with an early c3 this knight has the option of both c2 and c4. Many high-rated players are surprisingly weak when they leave the normal tracks. /S > >New game - Yace 0.99.87, 30'/40+30'/40+30'/40 >[D]rnbqkbnr/pp1ppppp/8/2p5/4P3/N7/PPPP1PPP/R1BQKBNR b KQkq - 0 1 > >Analysis by Rybka 1.0 Beta 32-bit: > >2...Nc6 > = (-0.12) Depth: 3 00:00:00 >2...Nc6 > = (-0.08) Depth: 4 00:00:00 >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 > = (-0.12) Depth: 5 00:00:00 >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 > = (-0.10) Depth: 6 00:00:00 5kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e5 > = (-0.08) Depth: 7 00:00:00 14kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e5 Ng4 > = (0.00) Depth: 8 00:00:00 36kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e5 Ng4 5.Nc4 > = (-0.05) Depth: 9 00:00:00 85kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e5 Ng4 5.Nc4 b5 > = (-0.02) Depth: 10 00:00:01 151kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e5 Ng4 5.Qe2 d6 6.exd6 > = (0.01) Depth: 11 00:00:03 373kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e5 Ng4 5.Qe2 d6 6.exd6 Qxd6 > = (0.00) Depth: 12 00:00:08 809kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 g6 4.Bc4 Nf6 5.e5 Ng4 6.Bxf7+ Kxf7 7.Ng5+ > = (0.01) Depth: 13 00:00:24 2402kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 g6 4.Bc4 Nf6 5.e5 Ng4 6.Bxf7+ Kxf7 7.Ng5+ > = (0.00) Depth: 14 00:00:46 4373kN >2...Nc6 3.Nf3 g6 4.Bc4 Nf6 5.e5 Ng4 6.Bxf7+ Kxf7 7.Ng5+ > = (0.03) Depth: 15 00:01:23 7898kN > >(, 21.12.2005)
