I played a couple of games against Rybka beta,Shredder 8, Deep Fritz 8, TheKing3.23,Fruit 2.2.1 and Junior 8 at depth=1 for programs and 5'/40 = 7.5 sec/move for me. It's clear that Rybka uses the same time (time=0 seconds as GUI reports, actually that would be a fraction of a second and the GUI reports 0) as other engines. Clear not only because the GUI reports it, but mainly because i can judge and compare from the games. What is happening: Me - Shredder 8 = 4-0 (own book) Me - Deep Fritz 8 = 4-0 (own book) Me - The King 3.23= 4-0 (Hiarcs8 book) Me - Deep Junior 8= 3-1 (own book) Me -Fruit 2.2.1 = 4-0 (own book) Me - Rybka beta = 2-2 (Tiger book) I can't believe it! Rybka played much better and this can been seen from the results of course. I couldn't beat it 2 times at depth=1.....! I don't know how Rybka does this?!?!?
