I like the dedicated units because I can play a game of chess with a hope of a win. I also like them because the were the start of the computer era and I had great interest in them from 1986.1982. The dedicated units have personality. I guess the moder PC programs also have personality, but it is difficult to identify it, because they beat me so quickly. It is hard to identify the personality of a 30 ton Bulldozer (or Bullfritzer) coming against you in great speed! The elders may say what they want, but I also like to play Genius 3 and King 2,55 on my Smartboard connected to an old 386 laptop. I am then playing a PC-program but the feeling is very similar to playing an old dedicated unit. I don't think we should try to be rational about dedicated computers. It is a disease, but rather a nice one to have ;-). Not getting better regards Erik
