According to CEGT and CSS rating list software progress in 2005 was about 30-40 points over old reference = Shredder 9 and over 100 points with 64b versions. I am really surprised, because there was 2-3 years without any significant progress! But natural question now is: is this 100 points real e.g. also when playing against humans? May be it's not so important, because we never get enough games to verify that. Actually in Bilbao computers don't better this year at all. How about ICC or playchess servers - is there progress?
