Hi guys,

There are some other friendly places just one click away. But I think it's not
so much the place itself but rather the people you like to meet.

For my part, I'm posting here only in the collector's corner, mostly looking for
your, that is Steve's and Fern's, posts. Sometimes I also look into some other
messages but am mostly not answering, just lurking. If you weren't here I still
would keep my password and come back irregularly but only watching if the game
of chess meanwhile has been solved from the scientific point of view...

>i am deeply considering not coming here so much in 2006

If you decide to go somewhere else, please let us know where, so we can find you
more easily. :)

That is a long slow process in my opinion. Most players who are interested in
playing the machines will be interested in one or two computers. They won't
start collecting so that the interest in the history will unfortunately remain
dim. But the number of collectors is increasing anyway, if my perception does
not mislead me. So, the fact that PC got much stronger than the dedicated units
has helped the community to grow a tad, I think. And, even here we're probably
not at the end of the development, not much but there is still room left.

Since my collection has been growing the past years too and I slowly reach the
point where I'm satisfied with what I have (well a 68020 Roma is missing yet), I
also start to get more interested in historical stuff... ;)

Okay, Sonja is calling, she needs help in the kitchen...

Have you two a great Xmas time,
Martin
