>Dual-cored Deep Shredder 9.1 is not bad don't know how's the tuning of the UCI parameters with the Deep S9 version (only got the single Cpu one) but i found that with some simple adaptation to the interesting socalled Columbus Egg parameters S9 can ply better in blitz as well. namely by letting it play it faster, like eg. Fruit and Rybka, and setting the time management parameter to about 75-80 %. (try it and you'll see it). for the rest i got the impression that some of the tuned col_egg params are a bit overdone, i've set back the forward pruning (in col egg 5 instead of 3) back to 3, and also reduced the kings safety and center control a little bit. of course it needs lots of games again, but my impression was i made S9 a lot stronger in blitz (tested on ICC with 10+ games at least) happy holidays PS yep Rybka, Fruit 2.2, and Zappa are really strong engines, but none of them are perfect yet (depends on Cpu speed/analysis time as well obviously). with Rybka free trial 1.0 i found that in the opening phase it wanted to play with black Bd6 in a certain opening (a rare Queens Indian variation as far as i remember) when a black pawn was still on d7; and after a few minutes analysis time it sticked to that lousy move.. Any human patzer knows it usually is not very wise to but your bishop before your pawn; as in Ruy Lopez for black it can have surprise value but it's not impressive for me as well.
