I just built the thing below for less than $1,750 USD (I got $30 off my PSU, $40 off the RAM, and $40 off the sound card - all mail-in rebates), but I've got an upgraded motherboard, 3x the HDD space, 2GB of RAM, an upgraded video card, a sound card, and a DVD burner. You can probably save some $$ because you won't need to get OCZ RAM, a DFI mobo, or the PowerStream PSU. Also, ignore the heatsink, fan, and rheobus - I will be overclocking this PC, so I got some upgraded stuff. IF you build your own, you'll be good to go with the stock AMD fan - that thing actually has heat pipes!
