Hi, my choice would be PocketGrandmaster 3.0 it was just released and is very
easy to install (Pocket Fritz 2 took 16 hrs of hair pulling until I found Steve
Lopez T-notes for pocket fritz 1 to install program by putting files on temp
folders and copying them to windows temp folder then installing folders in
pocket device) nobody was able to help me here on the Computer-Chess Club on how
to install software its a shame Chessbase didn't fix this problem after Pocket
Fritz 1. Also PocketGrandmaster 3.0 looks great, has speech output, Fruit 2.1
and Toga 1.1 engines plus others, great opening book, but the only thing I found
is that it can't mate me with a bishop and knight. I hope they will see this
and correct this and also make program access Nalimov endgame tablebases by
installing them to compact flash cards. The program Hiarcs runs on the palm
devices but PocketGrandmaster will make you very happy. I hope they also make
Rybka and Fruit 2.21 engines available and bigger opening books. :-)
