Here are some free chess progs (could be downloaded from internet) which come with their own GUI. Some of them could be used as WB or UCI engines too. Playing strengths differ widely: Arasan GNUChess NagaSkaki (very nice) Neurosis (3D) Pawn Queen (nice and interesting) RDChess SlowChess (nice and strong) SoftChess Queen is my newest acquisition, many thanks to Leen Ammeraal :) That's all what I've found so far. If you know some more free stuff (engine with own GUI), please let me know! Thanks in advance, Robert
