I think 1. Chessmaster 6000 is a SWELL program like CM2100, CM4000 CM5000 I had before. 2. The place on the SSDF list is IMO somewhat overrated (because of fewer games and lower ratings) and because my experience that 3. Fritz 5.32 calculates faster than CM6K, not in one game, but in a couple of games -all draws. Some people pointed out however that you cannot compare engines by letting them play at fixed ply depth. As I'm no expert on chess engines, I accept their better judgement. And yes, you are absolutely right. Sometimes Junior 5 beats the crap out of Fritz5.32 in a 1,0 tournament, a 5,0 or a 40/2, and sometimes it's the other way round. Same goes for Hiarcs 6 or for Rebel 10. Maybe those programs are more human than we realize :-)) Jeroen ;-}
