So we have 9 positions that are about balanced (Nunn). Of course one could expand these balanced positions with f.e 8 pawns vs 8 pawns on their original squares + Ng1 for white and Bc8 for black etc. That is a possibility. But I also want to test specifics - like won endgames "good knight vs bad bishop" - "good bishop vs bad bishop" - but can some engines win them? Don't know any other way than starting from an imbalanced position. There are also won rook endings - a won knight ending - and the same question. Another theme is "need for activity in rook ending" - if known black can save half a point in that position - otherwise he would lose. When I get back home I will describe the positions 10-20 more in detail. /S
