Why not?
Hiarcs also seems to have had a large increase in strength.

I think it may be even more amazing to make a big jump in strength to an
existing program with a long history of development.

But I guess when you have seen bears flying, seeing a porpoise on the park bench
reading a newspaper is not so amazing, perhaps.
