how many times you have been told one position was winning by a very strong
chess player and you do not understand why, then he shows you and things become
clear...it is the difference of knowing and not knowing things...

about 16 years ago some chess players in the Milan chess club show me a
variation which was winning to them and according to them they did analyse all
the possibilities for white and he had no chances.
I told them that I could not believe it as there was something I felt not
analysed as at first sight the position was not lost for white...then they asked
me if they could test it against my strong computer at that time" Playmate
Victoria" turbo 19 MHz which played the 1988 WCCC in Almeria and was equipped
with the soon to be released Victoria program and I said OK...the program took 4
minutes to analyse the position and made 2 pieces sacrifice one after the other
and distroyed black position...

so as a conclusion it was not a winning variation for black but you need to know
how to play...that's the difference!
