There are 2 problems with your test: 1)position are not balanced and there are cases that only one side can win For example in the following position only white can practically win [D]8/4k3/r4pp1/pR6/P4KP1/5P2/8/8 w - - 0 1 [D]8/5b2/1k2p1p1/2NpP1P1/1K1P4/8/8/8 w - - 0 1 "] 2)The endgame are too simple and in almost all of them there is a single piece per side when rybka's main problem is before that but in time that is still considered to be an endgame.
