Please post the numbers here I would be intersted too. But don't compare Intel compiler compiled stuff to gcc compiled stuff, because that simply gets another 10-20% because of the compiler. You can send me the benchmark too, if you want. For most chess programs, my G5 2.5 Ghz is about 0.75 times as fast than my Athlon64 3400+ 2.4Ghz. If you switch to Intel compiler binaries e.g. for fruit on linux, it's more like 0.5 to 0.6 times. regards Andy
