thanks for the account i imagine the camera's and the press do not bother Karpov as he is used to playing under these condtions every time he sits down to play i remember reading that Alekhine was not a very pleasant and graceful simul player if he came to your board and you did not have your move ready he would rap on the board with his fist for you to move..if you did not instantly move he would pass your board and ask that you be forfeited i also read that this would happen if you were the last board left he would demand you reply the moment he made his move,,thereby forcing the player to blitz with him a big difference then the picture you paint of a quiet ,peaceful ,fun loving Karpov Kasparov Regards Steve
