I think if Kramnik does not finish in first or second at the Corus tournament, many chess fans will no longer see him as World Champ. Even more important, With a poor performance there will be no pressure on FIDE to make a reunification match. I believe Kramnik is World Champion, but he has to organize some type of qualification events for a contender. This is going to be very difficult, Because all the participants in San Louis signed a contract forbidding them from playing in such tournaments. The ideal solution would be for Kramnik to compete in the next WC tournament and win. After, He will have more leverage to convince FIDE that match play is the best form of WC. I am interested in what everyone has to say. Regards Tony
