Today I received a telephonic call of my friend, GM Ivan Morovic, a great GM that has even be part of the trainning team of Karpov. He told he is going to play a computer program in an chess event here in Santiago and, knowing I am "au courant", asked me to lend him the last version of F9 to play. He has only F8. I told him "no problem", but at once, also, I adviced him to play -instead of Fritz OR in adition to it- one of the new stars. He did not know a word about monster like Fruit, Zappa or Rybka. I warned him those entities can beat players even so good as me... After he almost broke the phone with hysteric laughing, he said it could be so. As much I do not have commerial versions of Fruits, neither of Rybka, if any of the programmers of those engines is interested in playing Morovic, let me know and I will try to get for them the email address of Ivan in order they can send him the commrcial, last version engine. This will happens next week. If some agreement must be reached about "What happens with the program next", I offer myself as a "de fide" representant of the programmer to erase the engine files from Ivan's computer once the game is over. I just want to be part of this and see how Ivan, a marvelous tactician, handle these awesome monsters. My best fernando
