It is sad to see one of our friends and many innocent people involved in a situation like the one developing before our eyes in Kosovo !!! While there is much to be said about this I would like to restrain myself(for the moment) from doing so. I lived in Bulgaria for over 21 years and the problems of this region(the Balkans) are not new nor obscure to me! People there live in a much more "difficult" circumstances then the American and West Europen contries. It is so striking to me to see that in our small comunity, which is bound by "love" and pation for chess, we can not seem to be able to find peace! There is so much righteousness, so much hate, and so much personal attacks and abuse. Why do we go at each others throat so easily, even here, where our lives are not threatened? Do we understand each other? Do we understand our selfs? All our problems, within this group, originate or are related to chess. We always have issues ... incredibly "important" issues. "cheating", "honesty" ... How do our problems relate and compare to Dgeordges problems?! They don't!!! WE DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS! NONE! We have invented incredibly sophisticated rhetoric to create those pseudo-problems to make us feel important! I hope we are smarter than that. I hope we learn(the damn programs have a learn feature, why don't we)! We can stop the nonsense in our small chess comunity. Hristo
