As for my "claim" that popularity on playchess is "proof", let me just say that it was only meant to be supportive of my argument. It certainly is not conclusive direct proof. Imho, the majority of people on playchess want to win badly. They will switch to a new engine the moment it comes out and cost is not an issue. Just look at their hardware. I'm sure that $$$ is not an issue. The fact, as I see it, is that "Beta" is at this moment in time, the best engine out there.
