Hi Sune,

I think, the nunn endings have been introduced to the public in the German
Magazin CSS, nr.6/1998. page53ff.
I dont have this one.
And there was another article in nr.6/2000, showing some results.
I summarize the descriptions of the positions by John Nunn, as they were cited
here (because I own this article) :
1. "...not clear if W advantage is sufficient for a win."
2. again better for W, but not clear if enough for a win.
(3. was the 5 pieces queen ending, you left out).
4. Black can draw by sacrifice of "a" pawn (difficult).
5. B is better, W can hardly exchange queens.
6. tricky, but probably draw.
7. drawish, but bishop is strong of course.
8. draw, by 1. c6!! according to dvoretzky and jussupov; very hard of course.
9. draw, but Capablance missed it, so not too easy; wrong coulor of h pawn;
10. should be draw, but B is better. hard defence for W in practical game.

btw, thx for the nice idea and good work with this test setting,
hope these little notes help a little.

Peter
