And the only hint to get the information, which program is the strongest, is the SSDF list, at least for most of the (computer) chess interested. SSDF IS a very important list that increases or decreases the number of sales. I'd bet that the sold copies of MCP decreased since v.6 because v7. and v.8 are rated lower than 6.0. I clearly remember questions WHY MCP8 is weaker than MCP7 and 6. These questions were only referring to the SSDF list as if this list is the only one and the only true list and reflects the overall strength. So we can see the big significance of this SSDF list. And I doubt that Ed has disadvantage not to be present in that list. Because I doubt that Rebel10 would be rated in the TOP 5 which probably would harm the sales.
