An interesting experiment -- ran series of matches with Rybka vs TheKIng at Sd=1, sd=2, sd=3, up through sd=11, with no book and no pondering. The results are deterministic, ie. they are repeatable, at each level, the games simply repeat thenselves -- you really only need to two games -- I ran 2 more (and 4 more at sd=1) to ensure they were repeating. Observations: As sd=1 and sd=2, the games were won by black and and were even. Sd=3m Rybka had slight avdanatge. Rybka won both games at sd=4, TheKing won both games at sd=5, at that thatpoint where Theking began using more time. At Sd=6 , the games were split , although TheKing used more time. At sd=7, Rybka won the match despite using far less time. For Sd=8 through sd=11 Rybka won the matches except for sd=9 which was split. At theses higher levels, Rybka generally used about 1/5 of time that the King used.
