The author is Steven Edwards, and Symbolic is a real experiment in AI, with it's "toolbox" part of the program doing only shallow searches. All others are directed by AI in the program, which is written mainly in Common Lisp, and runs on Mac's. It's been quite a while since Steven posted his current status on the program. When you try to follow it (I know stink about CL), it's quite a challenge. No ordinary A-B searcher, here. I don't expect Symbolic to do particularly well; I don't know if it even has a well-tuned opening book, and the competition is certainly formidable, but it's great to hear it's ready for an outing.
