I have a database of several hundred games in pgn and chessbase format such as
this example ...
[Event "?"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "1974.??.??"]
[Round "?"]
[White "?"]
[Black "?"]
[Result "1-0"]
[PlyCount "41"]
[EventDate "1974.??.??"]
1. e4 e6 2. d3 c5 3. g3 Nc6 4. Bg2 d5 5. Nd2 Nf6 6. Ngf3 dxe4 7. dxe4 Be7 8. O-O
O-O 9. Qe2 b6 10. e5 Nd7 11. Ne4 Qc7 12. Bf4 h6 {Diagram} 13. Nf6+ gxf6 14. exf6
Bd6 15. Bxd6 Qxd6 16. Rad1 Qc7 17. Rxd7 Qxd7 18. Qe3 Kh7 19. Qe4+ Kh8 20. Ng5
hxg5 21. Qg4 1-0
I want to truncate all these games to the {Diagram} position, so that the next
move (13. Nf6+ in this example) will be the first move. Is there any way to do
this automatically, without having to manually edit each game?
Thanks
Dave
