Thanks, it seems there is no easy way out :-)

I find it difficult to believe I am the only book maker having these concerns.
What annoys me is that it would probably be quite simply for Chessbase to solve
the problem:

Allow user to check/uncheck a "use move stats" option in the book parameter
settings.

Further options to delete move stats etc. would only further improve the
situation. One can think of many features to make book building and use more
flexible (different user adjusted bonuses for individual moves etc., like,
improve weighted rate of play by x).

How do all you book makers out there approach these issues?
