This forum has been the most popular place for me on internet for a long time. And frankly I have left the Computer Chess part of it mostly behind but I highly value the Club part. I like to read all the messages and reply when I feel like I can contribute. I also joke around with friends on various subjects. This is why I feel like at home here. However the latest tread deleting over a harmless joking around between friends left a bitter taste in my mouth. I can not talk for Steve but I myself disappointed, not to the moderators but the fact that there are members here who needed to complain about it. I hope that Steve will come back and keep posting about Dedicated Computers as well as other fun subjects. Let us not forget, the dedicated chess computers are still at the front lines of our beloved chess game. I don’t think a child’s interest in chess will arise from the latest and greatest 2700+ elo program on a 3.0 GHz machine but from the 40 dollar dedicated unit his mommy had bought him/her from the local toy store. In my opinion the members who complained about the posts are doing great disservice to chess in general and to this forum in particular. Thank you for listening Murat :.
