Or bad play by Fritz 9? Hardare for this game is P4 2.8 Ghz 1GB ram Ponder=off 256 Mb ram for each engine. I am running 8 blitz gauntles (40 games for rybka against 2 engines for each setting, so 160 games in total) (one on my PC and one on my laptop) using the nunn2 test suite where it (rybka Beta7) go through the 4 different settings; Very Position, Slightly Positional etc. BTW on the labtop the time control is 8 + 4. The goal besides from checking the performance between the 4 different Rybka settings is to compare the results from the PC and the labtop, statistical fluctuations etc. This was a game from the "slightly positional" setting, time control 4 + 2 and if i recall correctly Fritz 9 was up +6.54 and Rybka still managed to draw, really entertaining game. Some will say (including myself) 4 + 2 is no proper time control and Fritz 9 would easily have converted a 6+ to a win, but the again, i doubt Rybka would have come into this position if it had been say classical time control, so hey let's just have fun with it :) At this point Rybka 1.01 Beta 7 32-bit "Slightly Positional" is up: 2.5 - 0.5 against Fruit 2.2.1 2.5 - 0.5 against Fritz 9 (with a winning score against Fruit while writing this) Fritz 9 - Rybka 1.01 Beta 7 32-bit [A77] rybka blitz SP #1 (3.2), 04.01.2006 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 c5 4.d5 exd5 5.cxd5 d6 6.Nf3 g6 7.e4 Bg7 8.Be2 0-0 9.0-0 Re8 10.Nd2 Nbd7 11.a4 0.52/11 13 Qe7 (Ne5) 0.01/9 7 12.f4 (Re1) 0.73/12 11 12...a5 (Rb8) 0.05/9 14 13.Bb5 0.74/12 20 Rd8 (Rf8) 0.11/10 8 14.Bd3 (Re1) 0.89/12 11 14...Nb6 0.02/10 3 15.Qb3 0.84/12 12 Qc7 0.02/10 5 16.Nb5 (Nc4) 0.76/12 16 16...Qe7 0.00/10 5 17.Na3 0.77/11 8 Qc7 0.00/11 9 18.h3 0.71/11 12 Re8 0.02/11 9 19.Nb5 0.62/11 7 Qd8 (Qd7) 0.02/10 4 20.Ra3 (Qc2) 0.59/11 12 20...Rb8 (Nh5) 0.04/9 11 21.Qc2 0.75/11 9 Qe7 (Nh5) 0.09/10 8 22.b3 0.72/11 9 Nh5 0.16/10 13 23.Nf3 0.88/10 6 Ra8 (Ng3) 0.18/9 4 24.Qf2 (Bd2) 0.85/11 14 24...Qd8 0.20/9 9 25.e5 (Ng5) 1.33/11 13 25...dxe5 0.16/9 3 26.fxe5 1.51/11 8 Nxd5 0.29/10 8 27.Bc4 (Nd6) 1.47/10 6 27...Ndf4 0.33/9 3 28.Nd6 1.31/10 10 Rf8 0.26/10 8 29.Qxc5 1.28/9 5 Qe7 (Ne6) 0.32/9 3 30.Kh2 (Be3) 1.38/9 9 30...Ne6 0.20/8 7 31.Qd5 1.60/9 4 Bd7 (Nc7) 0.44/9 7 32.Nxb7 (Qxb7) 1.54/10 5 32...Nhf4 0.61/9 7 33.Qd6 1.86/10 4 Qe8 (Qxd6) 0.62/10 4 34.Qd2 (Bd2) 1.96/9 9 34...Bc6 0.36/9 6 35.Nxa5 1.71/10 4 Be4 (Bxf3) 0.50/9 3 36.b4 (g3) 3.05/9 3 36...Rb8 (Rd8) 0.90/8 3 37.g3 (Qd6) 3.29/9 5 37...Nh5 0.95/9 2 38.b5 (Qd6) 3.52/9 4 38...Rc8 (Kh8) 1.19/8 5 39.Qe3 3.85/9 3 Ba8 1.46/9 3 40.Rc3 3.93/9 3 Qd8 2.20/9 6 41.Nb3 (Bxe6) 3.94/10 6 41...Qe7 1.47/9 7 42.Bd2 (Nbd4) 3.93/9 6 42...Rcd8 (Qd7) 1.46/9 7 43.a5 (Bxe6) 4.38/9 4 43...h6 (Bd5) 1.48/8 4 44.Re1 (Bxe6) 4.77/8 4 44...g5 1.44/8 4 45.b6 (Bxe6) 5.55/8 3 45...Qb4 (Rb8) 2.57/8 4 46.Rcc1 (Bxe6) 6.84/9 2 46...Qa4 (Qe7) 2.42/10 8 47.a6 (Rf1) 6.80/9 2 47...Bd5 2.41/9 2 48.Bxd5 6.55/10 4 Rxd5 3.11/9 2 49.Ra1 6.54/9 3 Qd7 3.00/10 8 50.Ra3 (a7) 6.55/8 3 50...Nef4 (Rd3) 2.43/7 2 51.g4 6.38/8 2 Nxh3 (Rd3) 2.67/8 2 52.gxh5 5.58/8 5 Nf4 2.49/8 3 53.e6 5.52/8 3 Nxe6 3.69/8 4 54.Bb4 (a7) 5.59/8 3 54...Nf4 1.87/7 2 55.Nfd4 (Nxg5) 3.27/8 5 55...Qg4 1.49/8 2 56.Ra2 2.60/8 2 Rxd4 1.21/7 3 57.Bxf8 0.00/8 1 Qxh5+ 0.00/7 2 58.Kg1 0.00/11 2 Nh3+ 0.00/8 2 59.Kf1 (Kg2) 0.00/10 3 59...Rf4+ 0.00/8 0 60.Kg2 0.00/11 2 Rg4+ 0.00/8 1 61.Kf1 0.00/12 4 Nf4 (Rf4+) -1.05/9 3 62.Qf3 0.00/11 2 Rg1+ -0.30/9 4 63.Kxg1 -0.67/11 1 Qxf3 -0.06/9 3 64.Bxg7 (a7) -0.68/9 1 64...Qg3+ -1.98/8 2 65.Kf1 -0.51/10 1 Qxb3 -0.27/10 39 66.Rea1 -0.77/9 1 Qb5+ -0.25/8 1 67.Kg1 -0.27/9 3 Qc5+ (Qxb6+) -0.06/8 1 68.Kh1 0.66/9 1 Qc6+ (Qd5+) 0.00/9 5 69.Kh2 0.00/10 1 Qd6 0.00/9 1 70.b7 (Kh1) 0.00/9 1 70...Kxg7 -3.93/6 0 71.a7 0.00/9 1 Nh5+ (Nd3+) -3.93/6 1 72.Kh1 0.00/12 2 Qd5+ 0.00/8 1 73.Kg1 (Kh2) 0.00/12 2 73...Qd4+ 0.00/8 1 74.Kf1 (Kg2) 0.00/11 2 74...Qc4+ 0.00/8 0 75.Ke1 (Kg1) 0.00/11 2 75...Qh4+ (Qc3+) 0.00/8 2 76.Kd1 (Kf1) 0.00/11 2 76...Qh1+ (Qd4+) 0.00/7 0 77.Kd2 0.00/11 1 1/2-1/2 Regards Jonas
