William, either your view is overly pessimistic , or I am a grand master and did not know it. I do not use computers and am rated around 1850 in correspondance and standard chess. I win much more than 50%, not because i am so good, but because the average available player is around 1600 to 1700 (so the 55% rule does not work with me). So, if 90% use computers, and I beat more than 50%, then i reckon my true rating must be around 2700. In my humble view, most people at my level don't cheat. You should see some of the ugly moves we make:) I think cheating must be the most boring thing on earth, and my suspicion is that if someone is cheating, they get bored of it and leave eventually. best Joseph On January 04, 2006 at 14:52:01, William Penn wrote: >On January 04, 2006 at 13:49:40, Cap Ricardo SantAna wrote: > >>Hello >> >>does anyone knows how to detect cheaters in online chess servers ?
