Hi, One good way to see if he/she is cheating is to look at time use. It is obvious that use of any book will result in instant moves made so a "good" cheater will put a delay in between moves or not use any opening book at all. Then look at the interval with which moves are made if it is constant or at least regular. A human player usually makes a pre move when it is an obvious recapture or a response to a check, an engine might take a few seconds depending on the time control. You can't of course come to any conclusion from one or two games you need at least 5-6, to have a basis to make a complaint. All these apply only to fast time control type games under 10 0. In standard time control or even 30 0, there is practicly no way to solve this if a cheater knows what he is doing, because he will make moves himself and use an engine only as a reference, playing sometimes second or third rate moves mixed up with very small mistakes.
